I've been thinking about this lately. If you were Phil Spencer, is it really worth it to continue to make Xbox hardware? Xbox doesn't have many exclusive games on their consoles anymore (unless you count Rare Replay and Halo 5), 95% of Xbox's library you can play on PC. Rumors are circulating that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to PS5 and Switch 2 later this year. Xbox also advertises themselves as "anything can be an Xbox", including your smart TV, phone and PC.
The only positive I see for Xbox continuing to make hardware is the competition. Less competition in the games industry means it would be more likely for Sony and Nintendo to monopolize the industry. But back to the main question. If you were Xbox, what would you do?
