Idk personally I kinda feel like truck fronts have just gotten too fucking big. Like the grille to windshield ratio is enormous. I like that subaru brumby way more, though thats a ute and not really a truck, is it?

over in australia we have 2 different types of cars we call "utes". one is sedan chassis cars with a pickup rear section (ford falcon, holden commodore, subaru brumby).

then the others are ladder frame ute like the mazda bt50, toyota hilux, isuzu d-max, ford ranger, etc. these are a lot more capable if you want to do any offroading as they're actual 4x4's and have lots of tech standard nowadays. its also worth nothing that these "utes" and american trucks are VERY different sizes, these are still built at a fairly sensible scale, whereas american trucks barely fit on our roads and in our parking lots.

here's an example on the size difference between our ladder frame utes and american trucks, because our utes only have to fit 2 - 3 litre four cylinder diesels rather than 6 litre v8's the hood can ride lower which allows for better driver visibility.
