Listening tonight to Steely Dan's all time classic debut album, Can't Buy A Thrill (1972). I'd say "shocker!" but in all honesty, it's been some time.

Brooklyn (Owes The Charmer Under Me) is a favorite of mine. Donald Fagen isn't a crooner but I can't help but love when he does, and this track's full of it. There's a certain mix of beauty and sorrow as he describes the life of a powerful/wealthy couple that spends their days cavorting with the famous. The opening cry of "a race of angels, bound with one another" has stuck with me through the years.

Justice pretty much been on my rotation since middle school

fun fact, i discovered Justice not from how famous their debut album but from a custom Team fortress 2 map. During my youth, one of my goto TF2 servers would often go onto a cyberpunk custom map and it had DVNO as one of the songs playing in the background. Good times where i didn't have to pay taxes

Justice is forever associated with my middle school days. I used to listen to their full discography 24\7 on my pink Sony Walkman (the one that looks like a fancy usb stick), and grind instances in WoW. Great times, truly:>
