mug thred,

I am so impressed you have managed to keep using IOS 6 for all these years. Granted you have Cydia but still, that's impressive
I wouldn't be trying to use it at all if it weren't for the insane work people consistently put into making modern applications for obsolete operating systems

i think that's enough website work for the moment because this is basically all i've been doing the past month, with very very slow progress . it has stopped feeling rewarding a while ago and doesnt me give any flavor of Accomplishment anymore. I want to draw something big

one of many possible backgrounds for a deltarune animation
deltarunebgalt.webp
i havent drawn these characters in years, i have insanely little animation experience behind me, i have no patience, completely rawdogging this whole thing. Surely this will have no negative repercussions

oh yes. dark blue and gold. it's like you're speaking to me directly

Around two weeks ago, I had a last-minute idea for a friend's birthday.
Basically, they had an inside-joke website with another friend they would use to mess around with HTML and have it act as a sort of canvas. Knowing this, also considering the fact I was messing around with milkytracker, I decided to go full ambitious and make a tiny, mini web arg with a basic "click-to-change-text" javascript dialogue system, all leading into a single page with an autoplay song. I think coming up with the ARG idea 2 days before their birthday was not exactly the best idea. In the end, though, I managed to finish it (though a little late...) And the whole thing came out awesome!! Here's the song in question. (It samples one of said friend's ambient songs!! They are really good at that stuff.)

I've never really 'finished' a track before & I think I could do something much better now if given a little more time, e.g. coming up with actual chords that make Sense, coming up with good, varied drum patterns for the first part, and I feel the transition into the end could've been done better. Regardless, I don't think this is all too bad for a first try and this ended up being an awesome learning experience!! id love to do more soon :D

THANK YOU!!! as someone who loves the hl2 soundtrack i am highly flattered,,,, I highly recommend milkytracker!! I had truly no idea how powerful trackers could be, this thing has built-in sample effects and a whole synthesizer!!! like that's just crazy!!!!!! i'd really love to push the limits of this program and make something truly impressive but that can only come with practice :pray emoji:

If you vibe with the tracker workflow, Renoise is basically FL Studio but with a tracker interface, so you can use VST instruments and all that fun stuff. I've been wanting to try it out for years but am firmly locked in DAWland
