I realised that I never actually updated here on the new car I spent about 9 months looking for.

had it since June but, here's my 2008 BMW 335i M-Sport (6AT). Black Sapphire Metallic, Dakota Cream Beige, Poplar Woodgrain, peak 00's spec (black on cream is a nightmare to keep clean). whoever ended up spec'ing this also got individual shadow line and alcantara headliner which is awesome.

The car scares the hell out of me but has treated me well, in my ownership my only problem I've had is once after a long night drive, after bringing me home, the original voltage regulator gave out which left the car immobile for a few days until I could replace the $50 part haha. (thanks Bosch for building user-serviceable alternators, saves me like $500)

I don't have any crazy plans for this car, it's an extremely popular tuner platform, but I don't care about 4 digit power numbers or 0 - 60 times, I want a car that drives well, which it already does. so, all future plans are somewhat minor.

current list is
- minor cosmetic fixes throughout the whole car
- fix the coolant leak (who would've guessed)
- oil catch can (direct injected turbo, just will be good in the long run)
- next service will also be plugs + coils, my coils suck on cold starts (they were made under General Motors by Delphi)
- new wheels, I HATE black wheels, so I really want a good set of silver wheels, even stock wheels!! (I'm desperate atp I've been looking for wheels for 6 months)
- paint correction, detail + maybe ceramic coating with Gyeon (I've been using their stuff religiously, rare to have a company now with a full lineup of amazing products)

also looking into some general "mods"
- M3 front and rear control arms
- Bilstein B6 shocks
- upgraded inlets
- maybe a subtle front splitter to protect the underside of the bumper?
- getting my hands on a tune2air so I have a super OEM bluetooth system, I hate retrofitting carplay.
- IF the turbos die, some upgraded twins with proven reliability.
- Eisenmann exhaust system, currently have some random valved exhaust which sounds fine, but would love something more unique. Eisenmann just makes super nice stuff and nobody ever gets them over here.

I love the woodgrain and cream trim on the interior. It's nice to see funky trims in good condition, adds a lot of character. I got a clapped E46 330 recently and the previous owner tried to carbon/black out the interior and it looks so bleh.
Also online HP numbers can make us forget that this has more than enough power to get into trouble lol. Hope the early BMW turbo setup brings you joy.

oh yeah I hate the whole aftermarket carbon interior stuff, looks so cheap I never understood it.

the car already has some bolt on mods and some sort of light tune on the ECU, and its already more than enough power than I know what to do with lmaoo.

I am grateful though it's been taken care of by the previous owners very well, dealer serviced its whole life :) (and also a full set of index 12 injectors which are over half the cost I paid for the car). I do want to continue the service history, in my state you're required to get yearly inspections in order to keep the car registered, so I'll be taking it to the local guys that build M3's all day haha.

I also hope your M54 treats you right! friend recently got his grandfather's E39 530i, one of the smoothest engines ever I swear.

getting desperate for new wheels, impossible to find anything decent within 200km of me (I dont want to send some random guy 2k for wheels sight unseen)

I've been looking at a set of Enkei NT03+M's, I can pick them up brand new for 2.3k, fitment should be almost perfect as theyre staggered (10" wide at the rear🙏).

only made in 18" but I kind of dig the look, has a track/dtm look to it. (pics from the E9x forums)
