Well, @Term convinced me. It's time to begin a 26-and-I'm-sure-counting album journey through the discography of your favorite poster's favorite band, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
I liked a lot of their early stuff, I'm In Your Mind Fuzz (2014) was a blast a decade ago, but I never really caught up with their stuff after that. I don't have a specific order I'm going for here and ultimately it might just end up being vibes-based.
Today's journey into the gizzverse is Flight b741 (2024).
I really, really, really like this one. It's an American southern rock inspired blast and if you like Skynyrd as much as I do, I think it'd be hard to have any other opinion of this. There's a full and really impressive sound to this one. I'm no professional music critic but it's got well written songs that are equally well produced - I can't ask for much more.
My fav tracks after my first full listen: Le Risque, Raw Feel, Daily Blues.
anyhoo King Gizz discussion I guess, interspersed with my thoughts on random albums
