Well, @Term convinced me. It's time to begin a 26-and-I'm-sure-counting album journey through the discography of your favorite poster's favorite band, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

I liked a lot of their early stuff, I'm In Your Mind Fuzz (2014) was a blast a decade ago, but I never really caught up with their stuff after that. I don't have a specific order I'm going for here and ultimately it might just end up being vibes-based.

Today's journey into the gizzverse is Flight b741 (2024).

I really, really, really like this one. It's an American southern rock inspired blast and if you like Skynyrd as much as I do, I think it'd be hard to have any other opinion of this. There's a full and really impressive sound to this one. I'm no professional music critic but it's got well written songs that are equally well produced - I can't ask for much more.

My fav tracks after my first full listen: Le Risque, Raw Feel, Daily Blues.

anyhoo King Gizz discussion I guess, interspersed with my thoughts on random albums

I feel like I appreciate b741 a little less than most but it's got some great SONGS that I love to see sandwiched into live setlists. Raw Feel and Antarctica especially, but Mirage City is easily my fav

The lyrics on this one really hit as well, especially Mirage City, Raw Feel and Sad Pilot
