what games will you finally get around to playing next year?

it's nearly the new year so here is a place for Gamer New Years Resolutions. here you can proclaim that you will finally get around to playing that game in your backlog next year. then you can post "hey I finally played this" in here throughout the year. or go "oh god I forgot" at the end of next year

i played some of ace combat 7 a while ago and liked it a lot but never actually finished it. 8 is coming soon so i definitely want to finish 7 + check out the rest of the series before then

i finally played danganronpa 2 this year and i WAS going to go straight into V3 but hundred line was out so i played that instead lol. i will actually play V3 next year

i've spent so long going "man ape escape looks cool" without actually ever playing it. that changes next year

no promises on how far I'll get because we're talking about a 10+ game long series of long ass RPGs, but I will actually get started on playing the Trails games next year

while I'm on Falcom games, I will also play more Ys next year. I played 1 & 2 and some of Origin last year and had a great time, so I should definitely get back to that

I could probably keep going but I'll cut myself off here lol. you get the idea

Planning on playing Tokyo Xtreme Racer sometime soon but I first need to finish my ongoing projects otherwise these will never get done!
I also think I should really check out Control, started it years ago but only played about 5min. The architecture / design of the environment really activates my neuron..

i will finish hundred line. after that probably pick the fire emblem series replay/binge back up. i got about 6 missions into Thracia and that game seriously kicks ass, so i do want to get back to it, i just got majorly sidetracked and fell into a bunch of comfort food games the back half of 2025. i may sidetrack and do the other Kaga games after thracia, just because i'm so curious as to how this dude's brain works and want to see if tear ring/berwick saga are quite as good.

- Penny's Big Breakaway (yoyo 3D platformer)
