What is your favourite anime that is not as well known?

Kino's Journey (2003)

The entire feeling and vibe of the anime with this VHS like filter over it in very washed out tones makes very unique. I can't put into words the feeling it makes me feel, not really nostalgia, but more of an introspective JOURNEY into inside and outside. Being someone who travellled a lot realtively, this felt kind of close.

Its episodic (except a few moments), and each episode tackle a certain moral/philosophical issue, with the main protagonist being stoic through the entire ordeal.

Oh, I heard about this one! I stumbled upon its name in some Japanese PS2 memory cards that my best friend imported. I've been meaning to watch this! Maybe I'll do it at some point with my partner.

kaiba (2008) is one of those animes i enjoy and consider an eye candy hidden gem but also can't seriously recommend without heavy reminders that the story is maybe just not very good and kind of all over the place. i would describe it as a storybook version of altered carbon's premise
