I want to talk about this software I recently started using called Tooll.
tooll website
its vfx software. It does all kind of stuff, and it's free and open source.
everything is done through a node chart workflow so if you have any experience with blender materials, geo-nodes,
or compositor you will pick it up super quickly. It's also extremely well documented. I don't think I've seen an open
source software with more in-application documentation
it has a lot of 2d image capability and it does all the
things stinky After Effects does so you can finally stop
using it
It has a 3d engine built into it too,
so you can create 3d scenes and then
manipulate them in the same chart.
I made this entire thing in this software,
and its all real-time generated too so I could
animate any parameter:
And because its a real-time render, there are a ton of ways to animate things. It can take audio input and work like a visualizer, you can hook it up to MIDI controllers. You can use any input to modify any other.
It's so powerful for a free software. And I love open source software so much,
I want this to get huge like blender so people will finally have good alternatives to adobe stuff.
It's only on Windows right now but they are working on Mac and Linux versions right now.
I feel like there are a ton of possibilities with this.
If I'm doing some weird stuff with it I'll share it in this thread.
