What are you playing right now?

idk personally after promoting all the classes and messing around with some overclocks I kind of lost interest as progression slowed down and the seasons didn't really add much meaningful content imo.
Game is still good and I got 140 hours out of it but I just kind of finished it I think.
Completely understandable. I still find great replay value out of the randomised maps making each mission unique, trying out new builds, and going for total completion. My friends have cited similar reasons for not playing as much anymore, though life in general is also a contributing factor.

They've got a livestream tomorrow where DRG and their work-in-progress spinoff "Rogue Core" are apparently big points of discussion, so I'm hoping for some sort of DRG update announcement haha.

im also sort of done with it but i come back to complete the events. genuinely one of my favorite games ever and i dont regret spending 500 hours on it lol

Played the free weekend demos for Kirby Air Riders. I probably should've brought this up in here before they were finished. My bad

Anyway, I was never one of those people that was crazy about the Gamecube OG. I've played it, I thought it was cool, but my interest in the sequel was pretty lukewarm.

But having put about ten hours into the demo - I'm a believer. City Trial is absolute lunacy, and even when I get absolutely WHOOPED I never want to put it down. The roster is delightful, I love how different all the machines feel, and I can't wait to race on the rest of the tracks against some actual players. Can't wait to dig in to the patented Sakurai Achievement Grid. Top Ride is here also. It's like a kart racer from an alternate dimension where devs have actual creativity instead of every other kart racer just being Mario Kart But Different*

*(I say this as a huge CTR/DKR/Sonic Transformed fan, by the way)

Anyway. I will be buying. Can't wait to get back into it

Also, most importantly, it has Rick in it

It's that time of the year when GOTY discussions happen and I look back at all of the games that have come out and start feeling bad about not getting to the ones that look really cool yet

and then I suddenly remember I don't actually have any obligation to play games the year they came out and instantly feel better lol. apologies to Clair Obscur, but I have decided to replay Pokémon Emerald instead (and I am having a great time)

Shoutout to Pokémon Revelation, which is what I'm playing specifically. Great romhack that adds basically every QoL change you could want and that's it, nothing superfluous. 100% recommended if you want something like that.

Definitely a thing more people should keep in mind, last 5 months I've played basically nothing but NFS Most Wanted (the 2005 one), arma 3 and half life.
Sure all this new stuff came out and like BF6 and HD2 is fun but I just don't really stick with it for long periods anymore.

before my Logitech G29 broke I was playing Assetto Corsa Rally as it just recently released.

as a huge Dirt Rally 1 + 2 + EA WRC fan I was so excited to see another rally sim get released, its a rare type of game at this point, and the benchmark is still a 2 decade year old game.

in my few hours I got to play it was seriously just so well-tuned. didn't have the unrealistically difficult stages of the Dirt Rally games, instead what you get is some really authentic feeling laser-scanned rally stages. basically, what this means is you can properly swing the car out and have a blast unlike in Dirt Rally where you'd just get sucked into the weird magnetic track edges. tones of other cool details too, spectators running out of the way of the car, (something you don't see in many modern rally games!) and just some amazing sound design.

game runs on UE5, which to me would automatically make it a game I avoid, but its actually incredibly well optimized and looks gorgeous!

anyway, I'm missing this game so last monday I bought a direct drive setup so I could play it again :))

beat Marvel Cosmic Invasion. didn't quite like it as much as Shredder's Revenge, but still a fun time and an easy recommendation if you like beat em ups

if you actually read comics (unlike me) it probably has a lot of cool stuff for you to recognise too. I just got to point and clap because they have the Marvel vs Capcom blue Venom as an alt colour and I also remembered Lady Hellbender being in Embracer Group's (formerly Square Enix's) Eidos-Montréal's Disney's Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. maybe I should give playing that another shot, I never actually finished it. hmm.

that got a little off track. good game, worth checking out

Hollow knight! Been on the grind for the past two months (I'm taking my sweet time with it) And so far I have been LOVING it! It's not as difficult as I thought it'd be? I honestly think Silksong looks more challenging than Hollow knight!? But that might change once I do god mode... and soul run... :3 Either way! I am loving the game, everything there looks so cute! <3 <3 <3 <3 x3
