yes, they are! i'm actually very surprised at this observation since i've made the very same myself a few times before! on the same album are two lyricless tracks, Dani and Astoria Bound n Train. if this didn't capture that vibe well enough somehow, those two are more than capable!!

this album gave us The Pursuit Of Vikings which is the quintessential DUDE VIKINGS LOL ODIN song but aside from that and the opening track it's very somber in relation to the rest of their catalog. it's a perfect midpoint between their early, more roughly produced stuff and the clean, slick sound they're more known for and i think it's a perfect record. modern AA wouldn't write about something as melancholic as a father losing his child, it's gotta be fist pumping anthems about a berserker killing like 100 dudes all by himself, so badass. this, Versus The World and With Oden On Our Side are like required listening as far as i'm concerned
