city outskirts at 2 in the morning, 3 am the night crowd start to pop up around here but like the 0000 to 0200 timeframe is when its dead quiet over here. This night I had the opportunity to walk through my town during the curfew and a complete power blackout. One of the most surreal and weirdly relaxing experiences in my life, and I will never forgive myself for leaving my camera at home.
Imagine the busiest, noisiest, and brightest street in your city, but with no one there, absolute silence, and the only light visible is the stars in the sky. You don’t even see the streets and the buildings anymore, you can't recognise anything - you surrounded by a strangely shaped darkness that blocks the night sky, the only thing that your eyes can see and process. The light pollution is so low now that I can see that some small part of the horizon is colored in a warm bright light - it’s a city 40 miles from my town.
Without a flashlight, it’s impossible to tell that you’re walking on a street of a human settlement, and when you turn it on, it still feels weird, like you're in the middle of a big ass cave, exploring the remnants of some ancient civilization. It’s pretty cold out here, so no crickets, almost no noise at all, just your footsteps that become almost too loud from all this thick silence.
Damn, it felt so aura I can't even describe it.
